Custom Home Design
The process starts with a call to schedule a design consultation with a JAD Designer. There you will review all your unique project parameters to develop a Design Program; a set of requirements that will guide the design. These parameters typically include, but are not limited to; square footage, the style of the structure, the required number of bedrooms, room sizes and features, specific site conditions and requirements, and other features unique to your project. Once these items have been outlined, the Design Phase can commence.
Phase I: Preliminary Design Drawings (Schematics)
Plans, elevations, and sketches are developed to convey to Client overall Design Intent, Floor Plan layout, and Exterior Design. Drawings will include both CAD drawings and renderings, and will be presented to Client for review and discussion. Hard copies will be distributed.
Phase II: Design Development
Plans and Elevations will be revised following Client Review. Additional drawings may be produced to clearly convey Design Intent, and to clarify specific details. Plans will be reworked until the Client is fully satisfied with their Home Design.
Phase III: Construction Documents
Working Drawings will be developed suitable for permitting, contract bidding, and to facilitate construction. Documents will include; Fully dimensioned floor plans, all exterior elevations, foundation plan, cross section(s), typical wall section(s), window and door schedules, framing layout drawings, front rendering, and typical details. Plans will be engineered to meet all structural and code requirements for each specific area.
Custom Design Services are priced on overall square footage, and typically cost $1.00 – $2.00 per square foot. Please call for a price quote.
